How do I get access to this site?

To gain access to some Pearson Education websites and online products, you have to register and create a personal login name and password. Your online registration process might include redeeming a pre-provided access code, purchasing access with a credit card, or signing on for a trial subscription.

What is an Access Code? How do I get one?

Your access code identifies the online products you can access and whether you have student or instructor view. Your access code is unique and can be used only once to register. Do not give this code to anyone else.

Students

If you purchased a new textbook, you received a student access code with your textbook. Open your Student Access Kit or other code-containing item to reveal your student access code.

In some cases, this code may be printed inside the front of your book. If it is obscured with a silver coating, scratch it off with a coin or other dull object. Using a sharp object can remove part of the printed code.

If you purchased a used textbook, you should be able to purchase a new Student Access Kit at your campus bookstore. Otherwise, you will need to purchase access online with a credit card. View your access options.

Instructors

You should have received an Access Code along with your copy of the textbook. If you do not have one, please contact your Pearson representative.

If you are a U.S. High School Adopter click here to get access.

My Access Code doesn't work. What should I do?

If you purchased a used textbook, a previous owner likely used the access code. You should be able to purchase a new Student Access Kit at your campus bookstore. Otherwise, you will need to purchase access online with a credit card. View your access options.

If you purchased a new textbook, and the access code provided is causing the registration process to fail, contact our Product Support team.

Take a tour of the registration process

Registration Tips

  • Check that you have a compatible computer and web browser, set appropriately.

  • Enter information for all fields marked with a red asterisk (*). If you try to skip one of these, you will be reminded that you must provide this required information.

  • Scroll down on longer pages to complete all required information. Proceed to the next page by clicking the Next button.

  • You may be asked to provide some of the following information:

    • Access Code
    • Contact information (such as your name, e-mail address, school, school location). Add this subscription to an established Pearson Education user account by providing your personal login name and password.
    • Purchase information (credit card, billing address, etc.), if applicable.

If you do not successfully complete registration and don’t receive the registration confirmation page and/or a registration confirmation email, your access code will still be valid.

If you're buying online and you do not receive confirmation of your registration, your credit card will not be charged. There may be an authorization hold on your credit card account, but it will expire.

What exactly am I buying with an online purchase?

Online purchase allows you to register for your online course materials with a credit card instead of an access code. Using your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal account, you can login and start your work right away. There is no need for an access code or additional registration steps. You have immediate access to your online course materials.

A charge from "Pearson Education" will show on the credit card statement for the credit card account number you give us when you register.

View your access options to see if this is available for you.
